About Flo

Ciao! I am Flaminia Ghigo, you can call me Flo. Welcome to my website and blog!

 My purpose behind the birthing of this website is to share my holistic lifestyle that helped me create a healthy body and life.

My life has transformed immensely since I decided years ago to take a leap of faith into holistic healing and began to broaden my knowledge beyond the common "1 size fits all" approaches of health and fitness.

After multiple encounters with health issues; chronic gut dysbiosis, metabolic dysfunctions, and all the hormonal imbalances in between, I reached a place where I knew there was more to health than "move more, eat less".. in fact, that approach of intense dieting and working out was the culprit to many of the imbalances that were to come.

  Holistic methods of health-care restored my faith in the body's ability to achieve true health using nature as our provider. 

I believe our body thrives best when we care for it as a whole-mind, body, and spirit. 

The flourish in health blog gives insight into my practices and lifestyle including nutrition, my exercise regiment, mental health tools and more. I strongly believe all are equally important to maintain synergy. I look forward to providing you with plant-based recipes and natural science-based practices to support and restore your body from within.

- Mat Pilates Certified

- Comprehensive Classical Pilates: Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chair. 

- NASM Certified Personal Trainer 

 

Hands-on Experience 

Flo has been working as a personal trainer based in the Washington D.C. Area since 2021, specializing in training for women's health, pilates and injury rehabilitation for all individuals of diverse background, from ages 7-65 years old! Through 1on1 time with her clients striving to achieve higher performance and longevity, Flo has gained intensive knowledge beyond what any textbook taught her. She's helped clients reduce muskuloskeletal and joint pain from injuries and aging, strengthen the body through low and moderate impact training by combining classical pilates and functional strength training, and guided women in creating cycle-synched training programs to optimize performance and aesthetics along hormonal health.
